Breeders' Cup today announced its broadcast coverage schedule, post times, and wagering menu for the 41st Breeders' Cup World Championships Nov. 1-2 at Del Mar.
The two-day championship event will be shown live domestically across NBC, Peacock, USA Network, and FanDuel TV.
The $7 million Breeders' Cup Classic (G1), broadcast live on NBC and streamed live on Peacock, will be the centerpiece of the Championships Saturday program. New this year, to take advantage of the 2 1/2-hour national broadcast window on NBC, post time for the Classic will be 2:41 p.m. PT/5:41 p.m. ET. There will be four Championship races before and four Championship races after the Classic, centering the marquee race as the end of the middle Pick 5 and the start of the late Pick 5 on the wagering menu.
With a prospective field punctuated by 3-year-old stars from three continents: 2023 Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) winner and champion 2-year-old male Fierceness, winner of this year's Travers Stakes (G1); City of Troy, who won the Epsom Derby (G1) and the Juddmonte International Stakes (G1) in Europe; and Japanese standout Forever Young, who finished a close thirdin this year's Kentucky Derby (G1).
This will be the third time that Del Mar, located "Where the Turf Meets the Surf" on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, will host the World Championships.

The two-day Breeders' Cup begins Nov. 1 with "Future Stars Friday," featuring all five Breeders' Cup World Championships races for 2-year-olds. There will be five undercard races preceding the first Breeders' Cup race on the Nov. 1 10-race program, with the first race post time at 11:35 a.m. PT/2:35 p.m. ET.
USA Network and FanDuel TV will televise the Friday action, with USA Network coverage from 4-8 p.m. ET and including two undercard races and four Breeders' Cup races concluding with the $2 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) at 7:45 p.m. ET. FanDuel TV coverage will begin at 2p.m. ET with the first undercard race and will conclude with the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (G1T) at 8:25 p.m. ET.
Championship Saturday features nine Breeders' Cup World Championships races on a 12-race card. First post is 1:05 p.m. ET, with three undercard races preceding the first Breeders' Cup race, the $2 million Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1), which will have a post time of 3 p.m. ET.
USA Network begins its live Saturday coverage from 2-3:30 p.m. ET, followed by 2 1/2 hours on NBC from 3:30-6 p.m. ET. Coverage on NBC concludes with the Breeders' Cup Classic and live coverage continues on USA Network from 6-8 p.m. ET.
There will be four outstanding Breeders' Cup World Championships races after theBreeders' Cup Classic, as follows: $2 million Breeders' Cup Filly andMare Turf (G1T), race 9, at 6:25 p.m. ET; $1 million Breeders' Cup Filly andMare Sprint (G1), race 10, at 7:05 p.m. ET; $2 million Breeders' Cup Mile (G1T), race 11, at 7:45 p.m. ET;and concluding with the $2 million Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1), race 12, at 8:25 p.m. ET.
Coverage of all Breeders' Cup World Championship races Friday and Saturday will stream live on Peacock both days. Additionally, all undercard and World Championship races, except the Classic, will be shown live on FanDuel TV as part of the Breeders' Cup Players' Show coverage, which is also available on BreedersCup.com and the Breeders' Cup mobile app, all major advance-deposit wageringplatforms, and at simulcast facilities around the world.
The Breeders' Cup World Championships will be distributed to more than 150 countries around the world, including live telecasts on ITV4, Sky Sports Racing, and Racing TV in England and Ireland, The Green Channel in Japan, and Sportsnet in Canada.
The World Championships wagering menu will provide horseplayers with multi-race wagers featuring multi-million-dollar pools throughout the two-day program at Del Mar.
Race order and post times are subject to change. Final official race order and post times for the 2024 World Championships will be released Oct. 23.
Wagering Notes
- Special Daily Doubles (SPDD) on Friday consist of leg one on Friday and leg two on Saturday.
- Friday's Pick 6, Pick 5's and High 5 may carry over to Saturday.
- Any Pick 5 carryover from Friday or the early Pick 5 on Saturday will carry over to the late Pick 5 on Saturday. The middle Pick 5 on Saturday will have a mandatory payout.
- Special Daily Double (SPDD) on Saturday will be the BC Distaff as leg one and the BC Classic as leg two.
- Saturday's Pick 6, late Pick 5 and Super High 5 will have a mandatory payout on Breeders' Cup Saturday.
